My husband gifted me Bad Beaver Tales for my Kindle. I had never read anything by Carol Leonard before, but figured with her life as both a New Englander and a midwife she would have an interesting life perspective. Her writing is sharp and her wit is evident but what I didn’t expect was to find Bad Beaver Tales so hilarious. I laughed, I shrieked, I cried and I can’t remember the last time a book has inspired that reaction in me (I’m a wee bit cynical, as a rule). At one point I was compelled to find her online and send her this message: “Husband gifted me Bad Beaver Tales today. I am up to the Stat-Pad and am laughing so hard I have tears in my eyes! Thanks for sharing~”
If you are considering ordering this book go for it! I was disappointed when it ended and began immediately to reread it. A bit of humor really helps you get through the day…
